He has participated in numerous presentations to police officers, prosecutors, and judges on HGN and eye movements at the regional, national, and international level, including the 1998, 1999, and 2001 IACP Annual DRE Meetings. In addition, he has testified as an expert witness for the prosecution on the admissibility of DRE evidence at hearings in Oregon (May 1997), Hawaii (March 1999), and Idaho (September 2001); on the admissibility of HGN at hearings in Washington (January 2000), St. Croix (December 2000), Kansas (August 2001), and Oregon (September 2002); and on HGN evidence at trials in Washington (May 2001) and Oregon (September 2001).

When not tending to his other academic and research responsibilities, Dr. Citek enjoys skiing, snowshoeing, and hiking with his wife, Patricia, as well as sampling (in moderation!) many of the fine microbrew beers and estate wines of the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
