RED LIGHT: GREEN LIGHT

Red Light: Boynton Beach, Florida - A man was arrested on more than 50 traffic citations - all in one day. Elvis Alonzo Barrett, 46, fled from police trying to stop him for a traffic violation. He ran through red lights, crashed into another car and a fence. Police also found crack cocaine and a crack pipe in his car. Barrett faces several charges, including fleeing and eluding and reckless driving and was issued more than 50 traffic citations on charges including speeding, running red lights, and not wearing a seat belt. Green Light: Austin, Texas - Three civilians put themselves in harm’s way to help a fellow Austinite. The Austin Fire Department says three men saved the life of a man who was pinned underneath an overturned pick-up truck. AFD calls these men heroes for the selfless initiative. The civilians were employees of nearby businesses who came out with fire extinguishers and kept the fire from getting to the pinned man until the fire department’s dispatched firefighters were able to arrive on the scene.
